Job summary

The Y of Central Maryland is seeking a proactive Family Services Manager to lead Head Start recruitment and enrollment efforts, build strong relationships with families, and coordinate essential support services. You will advocate for families, identify needs, and ensure access to resources that support child development within the community.

Qualifications

• Interest in the well-being and education of young children, with enthusiasm, patience and good judgment.
• Ability to clearly communicate and listen to children, parents/guardians, members, and other Y associates.
• Head Start experience is preferred; education in related fields is valued.

Responsibilities

• Create and implement a Head Start recruitment plan to ensure 100% enrollment and maintain a waiting list.
• Engage with families and act as an advocate, building trusting relationships and ensuring access to services.
• Collaborate on community partnerships, service coordination and reporting to support families.
• Support families to achieve goals and prepare children for school success.
