Job summary

Wyoming Child and Family Development in Cheyenne, WY is seeking an Early Head Start Support Paraeducator to assist the classroom teacher in implementing an individualized early childhood education program focused on social competence and school readiness.

You will help children develop emotional regulation and foundational skills through play-based learning, while supporting children with diverse needs in an inclusive classroom.

Qualifications

• Must have a High School Diploma or GED and be 18+ years old.
• Must pursue additional training or certifications as required by Wyoming Child and Family Development, Inc.
• WCFD accepts degrees from accredited institutions recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.

Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing an individualized developmentally appropriate early childhood program.
• Support social competence and school readiness through play-based and structured activities.
• Collaborate with teachers, families, and therapists to support IFSP/IEP goals.
• Maintain safe, organized classrooms and assist with daily routines.
• Participate in child screenings and outdoor activities.
• Provide first aid and basic hygienic care as needed.
• Complete paperwork accurately and on time.
