Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field with 32 ECE units
• 3 years’ work/teaching experience in ECE including mentoring/coaching adults
• Site Supervisor Permit or obtain within 6 months
• CLASS certifications within 9 months and maintain
• Proficient computer skills: Outlook/Word/Excel/PowerPoint, Internet, database software
• Bilingual English/Spanish desirable

Responsibilities

• Supports Head Start philosophy and parent participation in classroom settings
• Monitor and implement ECD service area at center level for compliance
• Observe classrooms using approved tools; ensure policies meet standards
• Mentor and coach staff; provide on-site training to Center Directors and teachers
• Provide training on curriculum and assessment: Creative Curriculum, CLASS, DRDP, ECERS
• Analyze education data to plan professional development for groups up to 50
• Collaborate with Partnership Coordinator, Center Directors and staff on coaching focus
• Prepare reports and communicate findings to MAAC staff
• Attend meetings and community events as required
• Build positive relationships with MAAC staff and community organizations
