Qualifications

• 3–5 years of teaching in Early Childhood Education; 2 years supervising teachers; 1 year working with low-income families.
• Experience with infants and toddlers.
• Knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices and current theories in Early Childhood Education.
• Knowledge of special education laws and regulations.
• Valid NYS driver's license or access to reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate educational goals and Head Start standards with center staff.
• Provide educational leadership to teachers and plan curriculum.
• Identify and provide services for children with suspected or diagnosed disabilities and their families.
• Supervise center education staff and monitor curriculum implementation.
