Job summary

Child Start Inc in Fairfield, CA is seeking an experienced teaching professional to plan and facilitate a center-based curriculum aligned with Head Start standards and to lead classroom teams as the Center Director alternate. You will help ensure goals are met and maintain a high-quality learning environment.

The role requires an AA/BA in ECE or related field, at least two years of licensed teaching experience, and a strong focus on family engagement.

Qualifications

• AA or BA in ECE/Child Development or related field with relevant admin/supervision coursework.
• Two years teaching experience in a licensed child care center or equivalent.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred; strong family partnership skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan and facilitate a center-based curriculum aligned with Head Start standards.
• Lead classroom staff and coordinate with Education Department to meet individual educational needs.
• Oversee center operations in the absence of the Center Director and support meal/service workflows.
