United Community Action Partnership, Inc. in Willmar, MN is seeking a Head Start Assistant Teacher to support the Head Start Teacher and inspire young learners. You will help with planning, record-keeping, and health activities while promoting parent involvement and program enrollment.

The role requires 18+, 1 year of child experience, and a CDA or Early Childhood Degree (or ability to obtain within 2 years); CPR/First Aid certification is required or pending.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• At least 1 year of experience with children ages 3-5.
• CDA credential or Early Childhood Degree or ability to obtain within 2 years.
• CPR and First Aid Certification or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Head Start Teacher to plan engaging classroom days.
• Keep accurate and up-to-date records.
• Lead health and nutrition activities in the classroom.
• Step in for the Head Start Teacher when needed.
• Assist with light janitorial duties as part of teamwork.
