Job summary

GetCap-HS/EHS is seeking an experienced supervisor to oversee daily center operations, ensure Head Start compliance, and manage a diverse staff of caregivers, teachers, bus drivers, and support personnel. The role supports the Early Care and Education Coordinator and helps shape center structure, policies, and procedures.

You will work primarily in an office with travel as needed, supervise staff, ensure regulatory compliance, and engage with families and external agencies to meet program goals.

Qualifications

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team with delegated responsibilities
• Decision making under regulatory and policy constraints with occasional independent judgment
• Excellent written, verbal, and computer skills
• Deadline-driven with attention to detail and timely task completion
• Knowledge of Head Start systems and services, adult learning styles, and coaching strategies
• Ability to gather and analyze data and regulatory material and present findings to staff, families, and outside agencies
• Strong management, organizational, problem-solving, time management, and interpersonal communication

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily center operations and ensure compliance with funding source mandates and applicable laws
• Assist with administration, fiscal, legal, and center oversight within the program
• Support determining eligibility, recruitment, enrollment, and attendance for eligible children and families
• Supervise a large staff including caregivers, teachers, bus drivers, and support personnel
• Follow disciplinary and program policies and procedures as needed
