Job summary

Greater East Texas Community Action (GETCAP) Head Start/Early Head Start program seeks a skilled supervisor to oversee daily center operations, ensuring compliance with Head Start Performance Standards and funding mandates. The role supervises a diverse team including caregivers, teachers, bus drivers, and admin staff, while aligning programs with organizational policies.

Qualifications

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, delegating responsibilities to complete tasks.
• Decision-making within regulatory constraints with occasional independent judgment.
• Excellent written, verbal, and computer skills are required.
• Strong data gathering, analysis, and ability to present regulatory material to staff and stakeholders.
• Strong management, organizational, problem-solving, and time-management abilities.
• Familiarity with Head Start system and services, adult learning, and coaching strategies.
• Experience in managing organizational and program development.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily center operations and ensure compliance with Head Start Performance Standards and funding mandates.
• Assist with eligibility determination, recruitment, enrollment, and attendance for Early Head Start families and pregnant women.
• Supervise a diverse staff including caregivers, teachers, bus drivers, and support personnel.
• Ensure programs adhere to applicable laws, regulations, and organizational policies.
