Job summary

Center for Transforming Lives seeks a Head Start Education Coordinator to oversee planning and implementation of educational services promoting school readiness for enrolled families. You will mentor coaches, train staff, and ensure fidelity of assessment tools such as ERS, PreK CLASS, and HS curriculum.

Qualifications

• BA/BS or MA in Early Childhood Education, Child Development or closely related field.
• 3–5 years coordinating/mentoring in a child development/classroom setting; Master’s Degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee planning, organizing and implementing educational services for school readiness.
• Provide technical assistance, mentoring and training to staff.
• Supervise mentor coaches and monitor fidelity of tools used (Environment Rating Scales, PreK CLASS, HS curriculum).
• Ensure culturally and linguistically relevant, developmentally appropriate services.
• Recruitment, onboarding and hiring of new staff; plan and present training sessions.
