Job summary

Oak View Group seeks a Director of Operations to supervise daily facility operations, including maintenance, HVAC, and event set-ups. You will manage budgets, oversee safety and compliance, and coordinate staff across departments to deliver high-quality service for events and bookings.

The role requires 5–7 years in facility operations, a relevant degree, and the ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays. OVG offers a comprehensive benefits package and career growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• B.S. or B.A. degree from an accredited college/university or related experience in facility operations.
• 5-7 years’ experience in facility operations management; ability to supervise staff.
• Willingness to work event nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Budget preparation and control knowledge.
• OSHA knowledge and safety compliance.
• Familiarity with boilers, chillers, refrigeration, and fire protection systems.
• Experience with event production and theater tech.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Strong communication in a business setting; team-focused demeanor.

Responsibilities

• Direct daily operation and maintenance of the facility and all systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, life safety, etc.).
• Develop and manage operating and capital budgets; forecast needs and monitor expenditures.
• Oversee communication of event information to departments and staff.
• Lead all event operations and facility conversions for conventions, meetings, and special events.
• Hire, train, and evaluate staff; enforce policies and disciplinary procedures as needed.
• Ensure health and safety compliance and adherence to regulations.
