CoBank is seeking an experienced leader to oversee the Transaction Services department, providing strategic guidance, operational oversight and a focus on risk management. The role requires coordinating with senior leadership to align service delivery with enterprise objectives and regulatory expectations.

The position emphasizes staffing, budgeting, and continuous improvement across payment processing and related services, with a strong emphasis on collaboration across divisions.

Qualifications

• 12+ years in financial services, preferably banking money movement or payments operations.
• 6+ years of supervisory/managerial experience.
• Advanced understanding of payment systems, transaction processing, and banking regulations.
• Proven ability to lead teams and drive operational excellence.
• Excellent communication, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Responsible for strategic direction, risk management and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Directs multiple Transaction Services departments with clear priorities and performance expectations.
• Establishes operational controls and risk mitigation including ICFR and audit readiness.
• Leads process improvements and automation to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
• Monitors KPIs, SLAs, and operational metrics to ensure service quality.
• Partners with senior leaders to drive cross-functional initiatives and strategic priorities.
• Oversees budgeting, resource allocation and vendor contracts to meet objectives.
• Leads talent strategy, workforce planning and performance management.
