Job summary

Outpost Bio is hiring a Head of Business Development, Therapeutics to shape and close strategic deals in biotech and pharma, turning microbiome capabilities into paid, decision-relevant work.

You will originate and close asset-level programs, define strategy, price studies, negotiate contracts, and build a scalable commercial operating system with the science and lab teams to deliver value for customers in the US and Europe. Base in Boston or London, with start soon.

Qualifications

• Significant business development or commercial experience in biotech, pharma, CRO, or related platform business.
• Ability to originate and close complex technical work.
• Understanding of drug development decision processes.

Responsibilities

• Define strategy and offer for initial customer focus and priced studies.
• Originate and close asset-level programs with biotech and pharma partners.
• Translate science into buyer value and manage commercial commitments within the platform’s capabilities.
• Deliver and scale value for customers by launching paid studies and documenting impact.
• Build a repeatable commercial operating system: qualification, pricing, contracts, data rights, and growth.
