Job summary

ProBio, a GenScript subsidiary, is seeking a Head of Business Development, Discovery to lead US growth. You will develop and execute the commercial strategy for Discovery services, building relationships with academic, biotech and pharmaceutical customers.

Lead a small BD team, forecast pipelines, and collaborate with scientific, technical, and marketing groups to deliver solutions and expand into downstream CDMO services. Travel as needed.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in biotech sales or business development.
• Experience in Discovery or early-stage drug development services preferred.
• Proven leadership of 2–3-person teams.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship management.
• Understanding of drug discovery lifecycle and outsourcing needs.
• Willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute BD strategies for Discovery services.
• Lead and coach a 2–3 person BD team.
• Identify opportunities with academic, biotech, pharma customers.
• Build and manage strategic accounts and key relationships.
• Drive opportunities from engagement to award.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop customer solutions.
• Expand Discovery customers into downstream CDMO services.
• Manage pipeline, forecasting, and performance; report updates.
• Represent ProBio at meetings and industry events.
