Job summary

The Government of the Virgin Islands seeks a Systems & Programming Supervisor responsible for overseeing analysis, evaluation, revision, development and installation of data processing methods and systems. You will supervise staff, coordinate activities, and prepare status reports for the Director.

You will establish user communications, maintain computer systems, train staff, evaluate new technologies, and document section activities.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and three years of experience in Computer Programming and System Design and analysis, including one year in supervision.
Proven ability to supervise, coordinate, and review systems and programming activities.
Knowledge of data processing methods, programming principles, and operational planning.

Responsibilities

Supervise activities of Systems & Programming staff and coordinate project objectives.
Prepare written reports on assignment status, project progress, and section activities.
Establish and maintain communication with authorized users to identify needs and coordinate data processing services.
Maintain, develop, and modify computer systems and programs to meet operational requirements.
Conduct staff training to support effective system use and technical development.
