Job summary

The Government of the Virgin Islands is seeking a Disaster Recovery Project Manager to assist in portfolio management of disaster recovery projects and programs administered by sub-recipients. You will coordinate information, analyze data, and contribute to overall project performance to move projects from start to finish.

You will provide technical assistance to recipients, monitor implementation for quality, and prepare reports.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field as listed.
• 5+ years of project management or related management experience.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical assistance to recipients/sub-recipients regarding program operations, including grants management, program planning, and interpretation and analysis of regulations, policies, and procedures.
• Manage and monitor the implementation of disaster recovery projects for quality assurance and completeness.
• Conduct workshops to guide program stakeholders regarding requirements, policies, and procedures.
• Compile data and prepare reports on activities and operations of disaster recovery projects.
• Inspect operations to ensure adherence to objectives; document discrepancies and suggest improvements.
• Coordinate with stakeholders and consultants to keep projects on schedule.
• Support project management phases such as planning, execution and result monitoring.
• Research resource availability applicable to project scope.
• Coordinate with Financial Analysts to ensure programs are within budget.
• Assist leadership in developing policies and procedures for grant accounting and compliance.
