Job summary

Athletics - Business Operations seeks a Vice President, Event Operations to lead strategic planning, execution, and continuous improvement of all stadium events, including sports, concerts, corporate functions, and community activities.

The role ensures exceptional guest experiences and operational excellence while maintaining safety, compliance, and brand standards, guiding multi-department teams and external partners to deliver profitable, memorable events.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in large-scale event management.
• Experience supporting both pro sports and live concerts in large venues.
• Senior leadership experience managing multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong financial acumen and budget management skills.
• Experience with live-entertainment production advances and crew calls.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment and make independent decisions.
• Willing to work evenings, weekends and holidays as required.
• Must have a valid Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

• Oversee strategic planning, execution, and continuous improvement of all events hosted at the stadium.
• Manage event management, guest experience, and conversions departments.
• Provide on-site leadership and supervision of event staff on event day.
• Ensure season game operations are profitable and meet standards.
• Prepare and maintain event budgets as needed.
• Coordinate event requirements across ballpark and team departments.
• Develop SOPs for all events and ensure cross-department alignment.
• Collaborate with partnerships, community events & baseball operations, and external partners.
• Serve as primary contact for promoters, organizers, and key stakeholders.
• Maintain client relationships to drive satisfaction and repeat business.
• Develop budgets, forecasts, and financial reporting; monitor profitability.
• Ensure health, safety, and legal compliance.
• Champion a best-in-class fan and guest experience.
