Job summary

Stellar Development Foundation is seeking a Director of Site Reliability Engineering to lead a distributed SRE team and shape how engineering owns, operates, and improves production services. This senior role reports to the CTO and establishes vision, operating model, and culture for reliability across Stellar's infrastructure.

You will drive core infrastructure improvements, deployment automation, and operational readiness, partnering with Security, Compliance, Legal, and Finance.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in SRE, infra engineering, or related roles.
• 5+ years leading infrastructure or reliability teams.
• Strong skills to define team charters, roadmaps, and engineering practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead a distributed SRE team with a clear vision and priorities.
• Roll out a Service Ownership & Maturity Framework across engineering.
• Own and improve core infrastructure services including cloud foundations and Kubernetes.
• Improve deployment automation, resilience, and incident response.
• Define standards for runbooks, alerts, and on-call readiness.
• Drive measurable reliability and developer productivity through metrics.
