Job summary

Colonial Group in Jacksonville, FL is seeking a Manager, Service to lead the branch Service Department, driving profitability and customer satisfaction while ensuring safety and compliance. This role oversees the service team, pricing, and vendor relationships, reporting to the General Manager and collaborating with the Environmental Health & Safety Director.

You will develop staff, manage service operations, and maintain equipment and parts inventories.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of business and management principles
• Ability to develop direct reports through coaching and reinforcement (Hard Skills/Soft Skills)
• Mechanical aptitude and technical knowledge preferred
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required for this position
• Excellent intrapersonal, customer service, math, reading comprehension and problem solving skills
• Proficient with Microsoft Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word

Responsibilities

• Lead the Service Department's strategic direction, including P&L, training, safety, processes, pricing, and vendor awareness
• Head safety meetings and investigate incidents with the Safety Department
• Coach direct reports on employee relations, manage orders, quotes, job changes, and invoicing
• Motivate the Service Team to achieve high performance and accountability for quality and efficiency
• Oversee hiring, training and new hire procedures
• Maintain strong customer relationships through visits, focusing on top accounts
• Resolve customer conflicts to benefit both company and customers
• Act as liaison with manufacturers to resolve problems while protecting profitability
• Manage fleet of road service and delivery vehicles for performance and cost
• Represent the Service Department’s brand to generate service revenue with Account Managers
• Provide fleet management by controlling expenses for external customers and the company
• Oversee supplies, uniforms, tooling, and equipment within budget
• Perform other duties as assigned
