Sciens Building Solutions in Jacksonville is seeking an Operations Manager to act as a positive change agent, driving high customer satisfaction while leading a branch team across engineering, project execution, service, and back-office operations.

You will own budgeting, cost control, and revenue targets, coordinating with customers, vendors, and subcontractors to exceed goals and maximize market potential. The role demands strong leadership and a deep knowledge of fire and life safety systems.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of ops manager experience in fire and life safety.
• Strong communication across diverse groups.
• Knowledge of fire and life safety systems.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety culture and safety initiatives.
• Manage engineering and project management for the division.
• Supervise and develop branch associates including designers, project managers, technicians, project coordinators, supervisors, dispatchers, and administrative staff.
• Oversee scheduling, execution, billing and completion of install, service, warranty, and emergency jobs.
• Develop a budget and meet revenue and gross margin targets.
• Communicate with customers, vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors to execute plans, programs and processes to meet goals.
• Deliver projects within the original budget.
• Execute monthly project cost and Work in Progress (WIP) analysis.
• Report monthly financial performance to management and take corrective action as needed.
• Responsible for asset management, such as inventory and company service vehicles.
• Build a high-performance culture with performance reviews and development initiatives.
• Lead manpower planning and allocation.
• Ensure customer satisfaction and cash collections.
• Collaborate with the sales team to support growth and profitability of the branch.
