Job summary

FanDuel Group is seeking an Infrastructure Engineering Director to own the foundational cloud and outpost‑based infrastructure layer. You will drive standardization, reliability, and cost governance across compute, networking, Kubernetes, and provisioning.

This is a hands‑on technical leadership role focused on predictable, well‑documented operations. You will manage vendor relationships, own cloud spend and capacity planning, and mentor engineers toward higher maturity while partnering with

Qualifications

• Deep expertise in Kubernetes architecture, operations, and scaling.
• Strong hands-on understanding of AWS cloud infrastructure and cost management.
• Experience defining platform or infrastructure strategy across teams, with influence on direction.
• Proven ability to establish operational discipline: runbooks, incident response, post‑mortems.

Responsibilities

• Establish infrastructure strategy and standards across cloud provisioning, observability, disaster recovery, and cost governance.
• Build and scale the infrastructure engineering team with operational rigor and discipline.
• Own disaster recovery strategy, RTO/RPO definitions, testing, and organizational readiness.
• Define SLOs/SLIs for foundational infrastructure services and balance cost with reliability.
• Design and evolve cloud infrastructure for resilience, cost, and clarity across AWS, outposts, Kubernetes.
