Job summary

LaunchDarkly in the United States seeks an Engineering Manager to lead the Cloud Engineering team responsible for foundational infrastructure. You will guide a senior team across AWS, multi-region Kubernetes, Terraform, GitOps, and disaster recovery, while steering a multi-quarter insourcing program from planning through completion.

You will balance people leadership with technical judgment, driving automation and reliable paved paths that empower product engineering.

Qualifications

Experience managing an infrastructure, platform, or site reliability engineering team.
Proven incident response ownership and on-call health frameworks.
Led at least one multi-quarter infrastructure migration or insourcing program from planning through completion.
Technical fluency with AWS, Kubernetes, and infrastructure-as-code practices.
Strong leadership during transitions and changes.

Responsibilities

Lead and develop a senior Cloud Engineering team, providing coaching and career support.
Own the operational health of cloud infrastructure, including incident response and RPO/RTO planning.
Launch and deliver a multi-quarter infrastructure insourcing program from planning to completion.
Guide priorities across AWS, networking, multi-region Kubernetes, IaC, GitOps, and datastore ops.
Build leverage through software, automation, and paved paths for safe team usage of infra.
Partner with cross-functional teams to align priorities and dependencies.
