Job summary

LaunchDarkly is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead the Cloud Engineering team responsible for the foundational infrastructure our products rely on. You’ll drive an insourcing program, own operational health, and mentor a senior team across AWS, multi-region Kubernetes, Terraform, and GitOps workflows.

You will partner with engineering leadership to prioritize infrastructure initiatives, improve reliability, and enable product teams to operate safely at scale.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading infrastructure/platform/SRE teams.
• Strong ownership of incident response, on-call health, and SLAs for production systems.
• Technical fluency with AWS, Kubernetes, and IaC practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a senior Cloud Engineering team with coaching and performance management.
• Own operational health of cloud infrastructure including incident response and disaster recovery.
• Deliver multi-quarter infrastructure insourcing programs with clear milestones.
• Guide priorities across AWS, networking, multi-region Kubernetes, IaC, GitOps, and data store ops.
• Build leverage via automation and paved paths for product teams to use infra safely.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on shared infrastructure priorities.
• Communicate roadmaps, risks, and investment needs to leadership.
• Participate in hiring and team planning.
