Job summary

FanDuel is seeking an Infrastructure Engineering Director to own our foundational cloud and outpost‑based infrastructure layer. You will establish operational excellence, standardization, and reliability across compute, networking, Kubernetes, and cloud provisioning, shaping a predictable, well‑documented operating model.

Qualifications

• Significant experience leading platform engineering or infrastructure organizations.
• Kubernetes architecture, operations, and scaling expertise.
• Deep hands-on knowledge of AWS cloud infrastructure, VPCs, networking, IAM, EC2, EKS, cost management.

Responsibilities

• Lead infrastructure strategy across cloud provisioning, observability, disaster recovery, and cost governance.
• Scale and mentor the infrastructure engineering team with rigor and deliberate career paths.
• Own DR strategy, RTO/RPO definitions, testing, and readiness across org.
• Define SLOs/SLIs for foundational services and balance cost with reliability.
• Design and evolve cloud infrastructure for resilience, cost, and clarity.
• Drive operational discipline: runbooks, change management, incident response, post-mortems.
