Job Description

For our Danfoss Power Electronics and Drives segment we are searching for a Head of Sales to lead and coach a F&B and industrial machinery focused sales team including sales development, key account management and enduser pull.

Together with the key stakeholders you will develop the NAM strategy for above verticals and secure execution in the region aligned with the division global strategy. Additionally, you will focus on people development, succession planning and competence building within your team.



You are ideally located in the area of Chicago, Milwaukee or Houston.



Salary range: 170.000 - 200.000$.

Base salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.



Job Responsibilities

  • Strive high growth ambitions in the F&B and industrial machinery market

  • Develop 3-5-year strategic plans aligned with NAM Drives strategy including push pull strategy

  • Being responsible of increasing customer loyalty at OEMs and endusers and increase share of wallet

  • Engage with all stakeholders in the Division and support functions to execute successfully

  • Be present in executive meetings with key end users

  • Build a high performing diverse team and develop experts for key accounts, sales development and enduser pull dedicated to above verticals

  • Ensure a strong talent pipeline (internal & external) for your team

  • Align with other sales teams customer handover to distribution channel

  • Significant Sales experience (5-8 years)

  • Strong leadership experience with focus on people development

  • Experience in stragegy development & execution

  • Crucial understanding of automation processes, particularly the integration of Drives into PLC systems

  • Strong knowledge of the NAM market as well as a solid network, ideally in Food & Beverage or Industrial Machinery

  • Communication skills to engage with senior management both internally and externally with customers

  • A growth mindset and high collaboration skills

  • Willingness to travel around 50%, mostly in the US
