Job Description

For our Danfoss Power Electronics and Drives segment, we are seeking a Head of Sales to lead and coach a sales team focused on Food & Beverage and industrial machinery, including sales development, key account management, and end-user engagement.

Alongside key stakeholders, you will develop the NAM strategy for these verticals and ensure its execution in the region, aligned with the division's global strategy. You will also focus on people development, succession planning, and building competencies within your team.

Ideal location: Chicago, Milwaukee, or Houston.

Salary range: $170,000 - $200,000. The base salary will be determined based on education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, internal equity, and market data.

Responsibilities
  • Achieve high growth ambitions in the Food & Beverage and industrial machinery markets
  • Develop 3–5-year strategic plans aligned with NAM Drives strategy, including push-pull strategies
  • Increase customer loyalty among OEMs and end-users and expand share of wallet
  • Engage with all division stakeholders and support functions for successful execution
  • Participate in executive meetings with key end users
  • Build a high-performing, diverse team and develop experts in key accounts, sales development, and end-user engagement
  • Ensure a strong talent pipeline (internal and external)
  • Coordinate customer handovers with other sales teams and distribution channels
Required Skills & Background

  • 5-8 years of significant sales experience
  • Strong leadership with a focus on people development
  • Experience in strategy development and execution
  • Understanding of automation processes, especially drives integration into PLC systems
  • Solid knowledge of the NAM market and a relevant network, preferably in Food & Beverage or Industrial Machinery
  • Excellent communication skills for engaging with senior management and customers
  • Growth mindset and collaborative skills
  • Willingness to travel approximately 50%, mainly within the US
