Qualifications

• 3+ years in recreation management or a related role.
• Proven experience in leading a team.
• Strong organizational and planning skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Creative thinking with passion for innovative activities.
• Experience in budget management and cost control.
• First Aid and CPR certification is a strong advantage.
• Knowledge of diverse activities suitable for a resort setting.
• Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays.
• Positive, energetic attitude suitable for Welkom, Free State.

Responsibilities

• Develop, plan, and implement a comprehensive schedule of daily activities for guests of all ages.
• Lead a team of activity coordinators with training, motivation, and performance feedback.
• Source and manage relationships with external vendors for special activities.
• Ensure guest safety and adhere to safety protocols.
• Manage the budget for the activities department and optimize resources.
• Promote activities via resort channels (website, social media, internal comms).
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth execution of activities.
• Assess guest feedback and participation to improve offerings.
• Maintain inventory of activity equipment and supplies.
• Organize special events, themed nights, and seasonal celebrations.
