Job summary

Monzo is seeking a senior leader to own and evolve People Operations across technology pillars, analytics, mobility, and payroll, reporting to the VP Reward & People Operations. You will build a data-driven foundation to support a growing global team.

You will partner with C-suite stakeholders, design multi-year roadmaps, and drive an AI strategy for the People Team while ensuring governance and compliance.

Qualifications

• Experience designing and leading People Operations and Technology strategies at scale.
• Deep knowledge of payroll cycles, global mobility, and complex HRIS ecosystems (Workday preferred).
• Collaborative leader comfortable with VP and C-suite stakeholders.
• Strong understanding of GDPR, data privacy laws, local payroll regulations, and international employment compliance.

Responsibilities

• Create and champion a multi-year strategy and technical roadmap for People processes.
• Set and drive the AI strategy across the People Team, leading a cross-team AI project squad.
• Navigate governance and executive stakeholder management, enabling teams to focus on execution.
• Lead activity to mature people analytics, ensuring high-quality insights for leadership decisions.
• Manage strategic relationships with external tech vendors and operational partners.
• Ensure strong governance, control frameworks, and auditable processes across payroll, mobility, and systems.
