Monzo is seeking a Senior Strategy and Operations Manager to shape Payments strategy. You’ll be an individual contributor, partnering with the GM of Payments and leadership to define, measure, and drive strategic initiatives.

This high-ownership role blends blue-sky thinking with hands-on execution, translating data into action, aligning investments, and scaling lending products across geographies while maintaining focus on what matters.

• Driving strategic clarity: define and evolve Payments’ direction with leadership.
• Data-driven problem solving: analyse large datasets and design scalable solutions.
• Translating data into action: create data-informed views of performance across products.
• Cross-functional collaboration: partner with Product, Engineering, Data and Design teams.
• Owning business performance rhythm: lead monthly reviews and governance materials.
• Shaping new opportunities: size markets and model commercial bets.
• Making the org more effective: balance KTLO/BAU/growth and resourcing decisions.
• Connecting the dots: ensure alignment across Payment squads and other Monzo teams.
• Scale & geographic expansion: support lending product expansion into new geographies.
