Job summary

Darkroom in New York is seeking a Senior Director, Paid Search to lead strategy across Google, YouTube, Microsoft Advertising and AI search, building a high-performance team.

You will own revenue, margins, client retention, and play a central role in shaping our paid search offering to drive growth for Darkroom’s client portfolio.

This remote-first role requires collaboration across disciplines and travel to client locations as needed, with a focus on scalability and innovation.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in paid media advertising, with a focus on search.
• 8+ years specializing in Paid Search, including Google.
• Proven executive leadership and team-building experience.
• Experience overseeing a practice with 6+ direct reports.

Responsibilities

• Own the multi-year vision, strategy, and performance of paid search.
• Lead the Paid Search team of 6+ and align with leadership.
• Define pricing, scopes, and new service lines for AI search.
• Drive new business pitches and client reviews with CMOs.
• Build and mentor Associate Directors and Specialists.
• Set org design and hiring plans with Recruiting.
