Job summary

Jacobs Energy & Power Group seeks an Overhead Line Design Lead to drive engineering deliverables for transmission projects and to mentor a geographically distributed team. You will ensure compliance with NESC, ASCE, IEEE, ANSI and client standards while leading route design, structure loading, foundations and construction support.

The role includes business development, client engagement, and program leadership with travel as required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil, electrical, or structural engineering.
• Minimum 10 years of transmission line engineering experience.
• Minimum 5 years of engineering leadership, project management, or supervisory experience.
• Preferred: PE Certification and Engineer of Record experience.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Technical Lead for overhead transmission line engineering projects.
• Provide technical oversight on route selection, line design, structure loading, foundations, clearances, and construction support.
• Review and approve engineering calculations, reports, drawings, and specifications.
• Support QA/QC programs and lessons-learned for project delivery.
