Job summary

Jacobs is seeking an Overhead Transmission Line Design Lead in its Energy & Power Group in the United States. You will guide route selection, structure loading, foundations, and conductor choices while coordinating with regional/global T&D teams to deliver projects on time and within budget.

You will oversee a team, mentor engineers, support business development, and ensure high-quality design deliverables in a collaborative, client-facing role. A PE and extensive travel are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, electrical engineering, or structural engineering.
• 10+ years of transmission line engineering experience with utility, EPC, or consulting organizations.
• 5+ years of engineering leadership, project management, or supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead overhead transmission line projects as Technical Lead.
• Ensure conformance with NESC, ASCE, IEEE, ANSI, and client standards.
• Review engineering calculations, reports, drawings, and construction packages.
• Support QA/QC, risk assessments, and constructability reviews.
