Jacobs is seeking an Overhead Transmission Line Design Lead to guide engineering teams and manage critical design deliverables for utility projects in the North American market. The role blends technical leadership with client interface, ensuring compliance with industry standards and project budgets.

You will lead a geographically distributed team, mentor engineers, and contribute to business development while traveling as required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in civil, electrical, or structural engineering.
• 10+ years of transmission line engineering experience with utilities, EPCs, or consultants.
• 5+ years in engineering leadership, project management, or supervision.

Responsibilities

• Lead overhead transmission line engineering projects and provide technical oversight.
• Ensure compliance with NESC/ASCE/IEEE/ANSI and client standards.
• Manage QA/QC programs and design reviews for deliverables.
• Support business development and client account growth initiatives.
• Travel for client meetings, site visits, and project reviews as needed.
