Job summary

Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. seeks an Overhead Line Design Lead to manage and deliver overhead transmission line projects within its Energy & Power Group in North America.

You will guide route selection, design, and construction support while leading a geographically distributed team and coordinating with clients and internal stakeholders. Role requires extensive experience in overhead transmission line engineering, excellent leadership, and ability to travel for client meetings and site

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil, electrical, structural engineering or related field.
• Minimum 10 years of transmission line engineering experience with utility, EPC, or consulting organizations.
• Minimum 5 years of engineering leadership, project management, or supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular one-on-one meetings, performance reviews, and development discussions with direct reports.
• Support employee career progression through mentoring, training, and succession planning.
• Participate in workforce planning, resource allocation, and hiring activities to meet business needs.
• Foster a collaborative, inclusive, and high-performing team environment.
• Support compensation, promotion, performance improvement, and recognition processes with leadership and HR.
