Job summary

Montefiore Health System is seeking a Manager of the Chemical Dependency Program to lead an outpatient substance use treatment program in New York. The role supervises a team of counselors, social workers and peer advocates, ensuring clinical and regulatory standards are met and that documentation complies with OASAS and Joint Commission.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Mental Health Counseling or related field is required.
• Three years' experience in assessment and treatment of substance use disorders is required.
• Must be a Qualified Health Professional (QHP) and possess a license (LMSW/LCSW, LMHC, Clinical Psychology or related field).
• Strong interpersonal, written and oral communication skills; able to work in a collaborative team.
• Experience with electronic medical records and basic Excel.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate day-to-day activities and ensure clinical and administrative standards are met.
• Supervise staff and provide clinical trainings and supervision.
• Coordinate intake, scheduling and engagement of patients in treatment.
• Develop and oversee clinical offerings to ensure high-quality services.
• Maintain patient rights and participate in hearings when required.
• Lead interdisciplinary team meetings and liaison with regulatory agencies.
• Ensure CQI reporting and annual patient satisfaction data collection.
• Interview, hire and orient new staff; implement orientation protocols.
