Job summary

DSV Air & Sea SAU is seeking a General Manager of Operations to lead the designated operation’s strategic direction, compliance, and financial results. This role acts as the primary client interface for proposals and contracts, driving Lean initiatives, supply chain analysis, and ISO activities.

The GM will develop marketing plans, grow new business, and ensure adherence to corporate mission and client expectations while fostering continuous improvement and team development across the site.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Budgeting and P&L management experience required.
• At least 3 years of experience in an operations management related position.

Responsibilities

• Oversee manpower, recruiting, retention, and development of people for the operation.
• Ensure procedures exist at all sites to guarantee client service, productivity, and facilities and equipment maintenance.
• Set goals to provide continuous improvement for the assigned site.
• Maintain overall safety and security of assigned operations and staff.
• Develop teams to achieve company and client objectives for the operation.
• Train and educate management to ensure service requirements are met and exceeded.
• Communicate the mission, vision, and core values to motivate direct reports.
• Support mentoring, succession planning and management development at the site level.
• Develop plans for automation/technology to service the client and stay updated on WMS trends.
