Job summary

DSV is seeking a General Manager to lead operations with a focus on safety, compliance, and financial performance. You will oversee the strategic direction, ongoing improvement, and client negotiations, acting as the primary interface for leadership decisions on proposals and contracts.

The GM will champion Lean and Six Sigma initiatives, develop budgets, and ensure ISO compliance while driving growth through strong vendor and client relationships.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; bachelor's degree preferred.
• 7 years of experience in logistics/distribution; 5 years in a leadership role.
• Ability to lead, mentor, and manage budgets and safety programs.
• Experience with LEAN, Six Sigma, and ISO practices is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversight of operations, equipment, and product handling in a safe, profitable manner.
• Lead productivity and service goals; align with client and contract terms.
• Develop annual operating budgets and ensure pricing compliance.
• Manage vendor relations and supplier performance; supervise site staff.
• Drive continuous improvement and Lean initiatives across the operation.
• Ensure OSHA and federal/state compliance; maintain security and safety standards.
• Collaborate with senior leadership on strategy and client reviews.
