Job summary

Rumbling Bald on Lake Lure seeks a Food & Beverage Director to guide the F&B department across three restaurants, multiple outlets, and large events. You will partner with the Executive Chef on menus, maintain high safety standards, and ensure inventory control and guest satisfaction.

Ideal candidates bring 4+ years in F&B management with P&L responsibility in a resort or member-based setting, plus strong leadership and budgeting skills.

Qualifications

• Four-year degree or culinary arts program certificate preferred.
• Minimum four years’ experience in a food & beverage management-level position with P&L responsibility.
• Experience leading operations across multiple restaurant and event venues.
• Experience with banquet, wedding, and large-scale event operations.
• Experience working in a resort, or member-based hospitality environment is strongly preferred.
• Candidates with a demonstrated long-term career progression in food & beverage and hospitality leadership are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plans, cost-outs, and implements menus and related dining room, bar, and banquet operations.
• Inspects food and preparation areas to maintain high quality and safety standards.
• Manages inventory for daily operations and special events.
• Maintains beverage transfers and securities; manages vendor orders for alcohol.
• Drives revenue growth with creative strategies and marketing collaboration.
• Oversees hiring, training, and discipline of food service personnel.
• Plans training sessions on safe handling, service standards, and hospitality excellence.
• Maintains strong guest satisfaction presence in all outlets.
• Prepares departmental operating budgets and capital improvement recommendations.
• Maintains Profit & Loss responsibility for the department.
