Job summary

Addison Group in Beaumont, TX seeks a Director of Operations to oversee daily operations across multiple locations and partner with HR, Safety, Maintenance, and Finance to drive safety, service excellence, and financial performance.

You will lead Operations Managers and frontline teams, set accountability for performance, and implement process improvements to reduce disruptions and boost efficiency. This role requires strategic leadership and a strong regulatory knowledge base.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred in Business/Operations/Transportation or related field.
• 5+ years of operations leadership experience.
• Experience managing teams of 10+ employees.
• Transportation, logistics, fleet, or related industry experience strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of DOT, FMCSA, and OSHA regulations.
• Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
• Ability to manage multiple locations and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Class B CDL with passenger endorsement and air brakes preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop Operations Managers, supervisors, and frontline teams across multiple locations.
• Establish accountability for operational performance, safety, customer service, and company standards.
• Oversee daily service delivery, including scheduling, fleet availability, on-time performance, and customer satisfaction.
• Identify operational challenges and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce service disruptions.
• Partner with HR on hiring, employee relations, performance management, and talent development.
• Collaborate with Safety and Maintenance to ensure regulatory compliance, vehicle readiness, and a strong safety culture.
• Monitor operational KPIs, budgets, costs, and financial performance; identify opportunities for improvement.
• Support new contract launches, business growth, and cross-functional initiatives.
• Conduct facility and vehicle inspections and participate in audits, risk assessments, and accident reviews.
• Foster a high-performing culture built on safety, accountability, teamwork, and service excellence.
