Job summary

Addison Group is seeking a Director of Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) in the Greater Houston area. This onsite leadership role drives company-wide safety, environmental, and regulatory programs across facilities, fleet operations, warehouses, and field personnel.

The ideal candidate will balance strategic planning with hands-on leadership, partnering with executive leadership to strengthen safety culture, reduce risk, and enable sustainable growth.

Qualifications

• Must have leadership experience in EHS programs across complex environments.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA, DOT, EPA, and local regulatory requirements.
• Experience conducting field inspections, audits, investigations, and corrective actions.
• Proven ability to lead organizational change, build teams, and drive safety culture.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and project management skills with stakeholder influence.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the company's EHS program with policies, procedures, and strategic initiatives.
• Mentor and develop EHS personnel and drive accountability across locations.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, DOT, EPA, USCG, and state/local regulations across facilities.
• Conduct facility inspections, field audits, and environmental compliance assessments.
• Lead incident investigations, root cause analyses, and corrective action plans.
• Develop and deliver safety training, toolbox talks, and emergency response programs.
• Monitor safety metrics and regulatory reporting for executive leadership.
• Oversee environmental programs including hazardous materials handling, spill prevention, and permits.
• Collaborate with operations, fleet, HR, legal, and leadership to strengthen safety culture.
• Drive continuous improvement to reduce risk and enhance operational efficiency.
