Job summary

Transamerica is seeking a Head of Life and Annuity Operations in Cedar Rapids for a hybrid role. You will lead a large operations team to execute life and annuity strategies while reporting to the COO.

The role requires a strong background in life and annuity products, regulatory compliance, and cross-functional leadership across Distribution, Finance, and Technology. Cedar Rapids onsite presence Tuesday through Thursday is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or related field.
• 12+ years of experience in insurance or financial services.
• 5+ years of operations management experience within life and annuity.
• Strong understanding of Life and Annuity products, insurance financials, profitability drivers, and customer service models.
• Strong project management capabilities with experience leading operational initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operational functions of life insurance and annuity businesses.
• Ensure compliance with regulations through audits and assessments.
• Align operations with strategic goals, regulatory requirements, and customer service standards.
• Develop short- and long-term goals and strategies for processes and controls.
• Collaborate with Distribution, Marketing, Finance, Operations, Technology, and Legal.
