Job summary

Transamerica is seeking a Regulatory Compliance professional to lead complex regulatory change initiatives and ensure adherence to applicable insurance regulations across business units. This hybrid role requires collaboration with Legal, Compliance, Operations, and product teams in a dynamic environment.

The successful candidate will research evolving laws, manage filings, and develop compliant processes, policies, and documentation while mentoring team members as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, legal studies, risk management, compliance or related field.
• 5+ years of regulatory compliance experience in insurance or financial services.
• 2+ years in insurance/regulatory change management or related functions.
• Experience coordinating with Legal, Compliance, Operations, Sales, Marketing or product teams.
• Knowledge of state insurance, ERISA, DOL or related regulatory requirements.
• Ability to analyze regulatory requirements and translate into controls and processes.
• Strong written and verbal communication with ability to summarize complex info.

Responsibilities

• Own assigned regulatory change initiatives from planning through completion.
• Review business processes, policies, products, and services for regulatory compliance.
• Research and interpret current and proposed laws and guidance for impact.
• Identify risks, control gaps, and improvements in processes.
• Coordinate state regulatory filings and respond to regulator questions.
• Draft and maintain compliance documentation and procedures.
• Provide guidance to partners on regulatory requirements and controls.
• Contribute to enterprise-wide compliance programs and training.
• Represent compliance in projects involving new products or changes.
• Support colleagues with research and knowledge sharing.
