Job summary

Transamerica is seeking a Director for Commissions Operations to lead the life and annuity agent commission system across multiple hub locations (Cedar Rapids, Denver, Philadelphia). The role blends strategic planning, operational excellence, and leadership of diverse teams in a hybrid work setting.

The position reports to senior leadership, with a focus on driving performance, risk management, and continuous improvement in service quality for customers and agents.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a business field or equivalent experience.
• 10 years of experience in an operations environment, preferably in the insurance/financial services industry.
• Five years of management experience.
• Proven leadership to oversee teams and drive performance.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; able to interact with all levels of management.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the operational strategy for the organization.
• Oversee day-to-day operations and ensure timely delivery of services.
• Manage operational budgets and resources for optimal allocation.
• Lead and develop high-performing operational teams.
• Act as escalation point to ensure customer satisfaction and KPI outcomes.
• Provide management reports to executive leadership and stakeholders.
