The role collaborates with product development, finance, and risk teams to deliver competitive and compliant insurance solutions. A leadership track, strong communication, and expert actuarial methods are essential for success.

Qualifications

• FSA or ASA designation with bachelor's or master's in a related field and relevant experience
• Demonstrates leadership, judgment, organization and prioritization skills
• Effective communication of advanced mathematical concepts
• Works well under pressure and meets deadlines
• Excellent computer skills

Responsibilities

• Leads the preparation and interpretation of actuarial information for presentation to management
• Monitors profitability by line of business and/or product and develops reporting and analyses
• Maintains the product line or corporate process to comply with state and federal regulations
• Manages studies underlying actuarial assumptions and provides data to others
• Supports creation of system specifications, contracts, and other actuarial aspects of product development
• Monitors and analyzes developments in actuarial techniques and regulations affecting company operations
• Provides guidance on pricing, modeling methodology, or reserving
• Represents the company on industry committees and with regulators
• May supervise a team of employees
