Job summary

Odessa College seeks a Director of Instructional Support to lead the tutoring centers and instructional support programs across multiple locations. You will supervise coordinators and tutoring staff, develop program evaluations, and collaborate with academic schools to meet student needs.

The role emphasizes strategic planning, budget requests, and reporting to ensure effective tutoring services and community outreach.

Qualifications

• Ability to manage multiple projects and work collaboratively and effectively across disciplinary boundaries with faculty, students and staff.
• Plan, organize, and direct others in the formation of program and policy in the operation of Instructional Support.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
• Experience providing direct supervision, coordination, and performance oversight of a team.

Responsibilities

• Provides leadership and supervision to tutoring and instructional support programs and locations.
• Manages daily operations of Instructional Support and Tutoring Services and offsite locations.
• Hires, trains, supervises and evaluates tutoring staff and coordinators.
• Develops and maintains regular reports to monitor tutoring and instructional support effectiveness.
• Coordinates tutoring efforts with high school partners and service area schools.
