South College seeks a Director of Student Services to provide strategic leadership and daily oversight of student services, advising, and retention efforts. You will supervise Student Success Advisors/Mentors, implement proactive advising, and coordinate cross-department initiatives to foster student success and persistence.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree is required in Education, Psychology, Social Work, or related field.
• Master’s degree in Higher Education, Counseling, or related field preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in Higher Education or Student Services.
• Experience supervising advisors/mentors and coordinating advising programs.

• Provide strategic leadership for student services and retention initiatives.
• Supervise and coach Student Success Advisors/Mentors; ensure ongoing training.
• Lead retention programs, document interventions, and report on outcomes.
• Oversee student registration, academic progress tracking, and degree planning.
• Coordinate Welcome Sessions and orientation for new/reentry students (online and on-campus).
• Collaborate with Financial Aid, Admissions, Library, and Bookstore to support student success.
• Monitor SAP appeals processes and ensure policy adherence.
• Deliver academic workshops with faculty and staff; promote student development.
• Organize campus events to enhance engagement, safety, and well-being.
