Job summary

Boundless Learning in Tampa is seeking a Senior Manager, Learning Design to lead Learning Design Services, providing expertise, people leadership, and operational oversight to deliver high-quality, scalable learning solutions for higher education and corporate clients.

The role guides LDS standards, capacity planning, and delivery within timelines and budgets; acts as the senior learning design SME for complex learner-centered design and supports business development with partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in instructional design or related field; master’s preferred.
• 7+ years in learning design, instructional design, curriculum development, or related field.
• 3+ years leading learning design teams.
• Experience working with clients, institutions, or external partners.
• Strong business acumen and ability to translate needs into scalable learning solutions.

Responsibilities

• Lead LDS as functional leader, setting priorities, standards, and expectations for the function.
• Coach and develop Lead Learning Designers and Learning Designers, including performance management and professional development.
• Build a high-performing, collaborative team focused on quality, delivery, and impact.
• Ensure the team has the tools, resources, training, and support needed to succeed.
• Lead recruitment and onboarding of learning design talent as needed.
• Translate institutional, business, and learner needs into effective learning strategies, curriculum frameworks, program maps, and development plans.
• Establish and maintain standards for learning design quality, accessibility, consistency, and learner experience.
• Guide the application of instructional design, curriculum, adult learning, and learner-centered practices.
• Maintain a portfolio of LDS solutions that demonstrates quality, innovation, and value to partners.
• Oversee LDS capacity, workload, prioritization, and resource allocation across active initiatives.
• Ensure work is appropriately scoped, staffed, and delivered within established timelines, quality standards, and budgets.
• Manage applicable program budgets and approved financial commitments.
• Drive scalable, efficient, and cost-effective delivery practices across LDS.
• Evaluate delivery models and resource strategies to meet current and future demand.
