Job summary

Protomiq is hiring an experienced Director of IT Infrastructure & Security to design, secure, and scale the company’s infrastructure across cloud and on‑premises. You’ll own IaC, DR/BCP, vulnerability management, and a modern DevOps approach to deliver enterprise-grade reliability.

You will lead a team and partner with Engineering to enable rapid product development while maintaining strong security posture and cost controls.

Qualifications

• 12+ years in infrastructure, cloud, or DevOps engineering.
• 3-5+ years in a leadership role.
• Experience with cloud platforms and IaC.

Responsibilities

• Own cloud strategy and architecture across platforms, ensuring high availability and DR/BCP.
• Own day-to-day cloud and platform operations (compute, storage, networking, uptime).
• Implement and enforce Infrastructure as Code for repeatable builds.
• Own security posture: proactive monitoring, Incident Response Plan, MDR/MSSP partnerships.
• Lead end-to-end penetration testing program with remediation SLAs.
• Drive SOC 2 Type II readiness and security controls.
• Report security posture and open risk to leadership on cadence.
• Improve CI/CD pipelines with security scanning and faster delivery.
• Evaluate AI-assisted tooling in delivery lifecycle for quality gains.
• Monitor and optimize cloud spend and provide cost visibility to leadership.
• Directly manage DBA, DevOps, and Desktop Support teams; stand up security operations via MDR/MSSP.
• Vendor management across cloud, security, and monitoring with SLA-focused framework.
