Job summary

Protomiq is seeking an experienced Director of IT Infrastructure & Security to lead design, reliability, security, and cost efficiency of the company’s infrastructure platform across cloud, network, and core systems. This role ensures high availability, scalability, reliability, and operational excellence while enabling rapid product development and secure data operations leveraging AI as a platform.

Qualifications

• 12+ years in infrastructure, cloud, or DevOps engineering, with 3–5+ years in leadership.
• Deep experience with cloud platforms and IaC; Terraform, Ansible.
• Experience with incident response and penetration testing programs.
• SOC 2, ISO, and security compliance knowledge.
• Experience with production-scale SaaS environments.

Responsibilities

• Own cloud strategy and architecture for high availability, disaster recovery, and business continuity.
• Standardize infrastructure patterns and modernize dependencies.
• Own day-to-day cloud operations, including compute, storage, networking, and monitoring.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code to ensure repeatable, auditable builds.
• Own security posture: monitoring, Incident Response, and vendor engagements for security.
• Drive SOC 2 Type II readiness and security controls at the infra level.
• Partner with Engineering to improve CI/CD and embed security scanning.
• Evaluate AI-assisted tooling in the delivery lifecycle to improve quality.
• Monitor and optimize cloud spend with cost controls and visibility.
• Directly manage DBA, DevOps, and Desktop Support teams; oversee MDR/MSSP partnerships.
