Job summary

BetterHelp is seeking a Director of Health Plan Partnerships & Business Development to expand and deepen our health plan network and contracting capabilities. This remote role partners with internal teams to translate payer relationships into greater member access and sustainable growth.

You will own strategic relationships, negotiate terms, and develop innovative models to accelerate BetterHelp's insurance growth.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of experience in health plan partnerships, provider/network contracting, payer strategy, or related healthcare roles.
• Experience negotiating delegated credentialing and scalable health plan models.
• Experience with national health plans and Medicare Advantage networks preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own and manage strategic relationships with priority health plan partners to deepen existing partnerships and pursue new payer contracts.
• Negotiate improvements to payer arrangements including credentialing, onboarding, roster processes, reimbursement and network terms.
• Develop new payer models (member engagement, value-based care, distribution) to expand access and value.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Network Operations, Revenue Cycle, Legal, Data, Product, Marketing, Clinical) to inform payer strategy.
• Lead payer relationships from strategy through launch and optimization.
• Identify opportunities for growth in provider networks and reimbursement models.
