Job summary

BetterHelp is seeking a Director, Corporate Counsel to support our B2B and D2C operations. You will structure and negotiate enterprise and marketing agreements, advise on EAP/health plan partnerships, and ensure regulatory compliance across HIPAA, privacy, and marketing laws. A healthcare contracting background and cross-functional collaboration are essential.

Qualifications

• 7-10 years of relevant legal experience.
• 3+ years of healthcare related legal work.
• JD from ABA-accredited U.S. law school and active state bar membership.
• Egoless, collaborative mindset with hard work.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to provide practical, risk-balanced legal advice in a fast-moving environment.
• Experience in hybrid organizations with D2C/B2B and/or digital health platforms desirable, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate a broad range of B2B and enterprise agreements (MSAs, BAAs, reseller, referral, vendor agreements).
• Structure and advise on EAP, employer, and health plan partnerships; extend D2C care models via enterprise partnerships.
• Collaborate with marketing, partnerships, product, and biz dev teams.
• Negotiate marketing, sponsorship, and affiliate agreements; ensure healthcare and advertising compliance.
• Design and operationalize new partnership frameworks with sales and operations.
• Coordinate with product, engineering, and compliance to align contracts with service delivery.
• Provide guidance on data privacy, information security, and healthcare regulatory compliance (HIPAA, FTC, state laws).
• Monitor evolving digital health laws and parity requirements.
